WELCOME TO MY "WORLD"

I decided to give you all a taste of "a day in the life" of Doug Linsey. Just like John Lennon would have, right? :-)

First of all, I’m 30 years old and I weigh 205 pounds. I was goalie for the Berwyn Badgers Little League Hockey Team for nine years. I am the camera man for Harold Buttleman’s Daredevil Stunt Spectacular, and soon we’ll be famous worldwide just like Evel Knievel. But in the meantime I’m the chef at Happy’s Family Dining (graveyard shift - 9 PM to 6 AM). I work six nights a week but today is my DAY OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m going to keep my computer on all day and report back throughout the day to let you know everything that I’m doing. The best way to get to know me is to "walk in my shoes" for a day. So if you’re ready, then here we go.

11:30 AM
I got up in the morning at 11 thirty. I took my camera to bed with me last night so I could take a picture as soon as I woke up and here it is:

Rise and Shine! :-)

12:15 AM
Wow, it’s already 12:15. I guess things go a little slower when you have to go write it all down on your computer, huh? Which is hard because in the future that is how everybody will communicate and we won’t be allowed to talk. But let’s not get serious. It’s breakfast time. Every day when I get up the first thing I do is have a bowl of Richard Petty 43’s.

Mmmmmm!

1 PM
After breakfast, I usually go inside and watch some TV. Afterwards I’ll probably go for a ride on my bike to get some exercise, it is my day off and I have to keep in shape, right ladies? ;-) I was also thinking of grilling, since I have the night off, I might bike to the store and buy some ground chuck to make my famous Doug’s Famous Butter Bomb Burgers. (The secret is a pad of butter in the middle – shhhh…) They are a big hit at Happy’s although on the menu they’re called "California Burger". I also might go film a stunt with Harold later if he drops by after work, you never know! We’ll just have to wait and see. Harold does his stunts only when the inspiration hits him.

11:30 PM
So, I didn’t end up grilling after all. Wow I can’t believe it’s already almost midnight. I was going to ride my bike but Harold came by and watched some TV. Basically all I did is watch TV all day, sorry it was such a boring day. I wish I picked last Sunday instead! That day I filmed Harold riding his skateboard down the steps inside the library and we got kicked out.
So, here is a list of the TV shows I watched:
1 PM Unsolved Mysteries
2 PM Real World/Road Rules Challenge
2:30 PM Living With Gorillas (2nd half, it started at 2)
3 PM Judge Judy
3:30 PM Judge Judy
4 PM Decorating Cents
4:30 PM Storm Stories
5 PM Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
5:30 PM Fresh Prince of Bel Air
6 PM Guadalupe (I don’t speak spanish but I like the girl who plays Guadalupe)
7 PM Spiders Vs. Bears
8 PM Real World/Road Rules Challenge
8:30 PM Antiques Roadshow (missed the first half - damn Mtv!)
9 PM Real World/Road Rules Challenge (I think Mtv is running this all day)
9:30 PM Snake Wranglers
10 PM CSI Miami (repeat)
11 PM X Files

Which I’m still watching (sort of) so I guess I better go. Hope you enjoyed this little tour of the life of Doug Linsey. If you want to email me for my famous recipe of Doug’s Butter Bomb Burgers feel free to email me.
